Zeitgeist: The Movie

Journal Entry: Sun Mar 30, 2008, 8:46 PM
For any of you who know much of anything about me, you know I'm nothing if not tangentially curious. When a wonderful friend of mine tipped me off to this movie I was a little less than impressed with the pompous foreign title and similarly scary-film entry, but once you get past the initial lack of imagery, this film provides an astonishing look at the very intentions and fate of our world.

Whether just an elaborate scheme of half-assembled ideas or a poignant look into the very nature of our heirarchy, it matters not.

Blind belief in any form is to be led willingly into the lemming's abyss. Being self-aware, world-aware, aware of the very nature of life in general is to exist truly within the realm of reality.

Anything less is to be led down a rabbit hole of dreams, addictions, distractions, and 950 entertainment channels.

----------------------------------------------------

Zeitgeist is defined as "a German term meaning "spirit of the time." It refers to the moral and intellectual trends of a given era."

This is our era. Take the time to look at it for what it really is.
