An Adieu in Dew for You

Pour me down into your branches,
Where rain dared not go.
Where sunrise sets a morning,
Above the blame below.
Whisper secrets through your leaves,
Rustle dreams of love to me.
Between the sunshine and the sinners,
Let only our love be.

But oh, the twilight hastens,
The day into its' bed,
Your wooden feet can't follow me,
Where rivers rest their head.
To leave you now is torture,
I see sap fall down your face,
For rooted feet can't follow hearts
With rushing water's haste.

I loved you once forever,
And lo, I love you still,
Though I could never change your mind,
And you can't change my will.
But when each morning's dew,
Rests softly on your eyes,
Know that is but your running love,
Kissing you goodbye.
I think the piece speaks for itself...

and hopefully to you.

Whomever, wherever you may be.
